I finally have my babysitting worked out for Wednesdays, so I’m not stressed out about Girls on the Run anymore. There are two of us coaching and we have between 8-10 girls (10 registered, 8 showed up, and one showed up wanting to join). And one drama queen. I’m going to make her my little buddy to cut down on it.
School will be interesting. My sociology of religion class is actually sociology of religion in pop culture… but I totally love the instructor so we’ll see how it goes. She’s the roller derby, runner, left-handed, peanut M&M lover (aka my soul mate). The final project is to create a new religion. I’m totally gonna create a cult.
My psychology class is on human memory and cognition. She reminds me Dallas (the TV show) updated for the new century. She has that Southern woman sweet-as-molasses-until-you-cross-her-and-then-she-will-DESTROY-you vibe. I like.
My online class is communications (negotiations). I’ve had a class with this professor before and I adore him. The only thing I’m not loving about this class is that all the exams are scheduled for the same day as my psych exams. I can feel my eye starting to twitch.
I’ve got miles and miles and miles to run this month. Robby is doing a mileage challenge for October. I’ve calculated what’s on my training plan and pledged to run 120 (if I stick completely to my schedule, I’ll be doing more but I’m trying to be more realistic about things in the ‘know thyself’ vein).
