Being dehydrated makes me even more mean and short tempered than letting my blood glucose levels drop too low. 

And it gives me a terrible sweet tooth. I’ve had more sugar today than I would normally eat in a week. 

Blargh. 

I’ve had 2 of my 3 liters, but I didn’t start drinking it until 5pm. It’s now 11pm. So I’ll be up all night needing to pee and it feels like a case of too little too late. 

So. Tomorrow the water bottle does NOT get left at home. 

Sigh.

So yesterday I tweeted about sort of enjoying DOMS. Silly me. That was day 1 after the workout. 

Not only am I “toilet sore” (thanks to @CharlotteGFE from The Great Fitness Experiment for that phrase), but my posterior chain is sore enough that I woke up every time I rolled over in the night.  Serves me right for forgetting my potassium supplement yesterday. 

Solution? 

Today is long, slow run day. 

Today is also clean the house and do a run through wedding ceremony (and Doctor Who) day. My bestie is getting married at the end of the month and I’m officiating. :)  

I’ve put on some weight this summer. I don’t know if it’s noticeable to anyone else, but I can see it (in pictures) and feel it (in the way my pants fit, or don’t, as the case may be). I’ve been focusing on making good food choices (and drinking my 3+ liters of water a day). I weighed myself this morning and the number was honestly 10 lbs lower than what I was expecting to see (I have no concept of weight estimation whatsoever). I’m not at my happy weight but I’m soooo much closer than I thought I was. It’s nice to know I’m doing something right. 

2 miles today. My lungs are more out of shape than anything else. It’s been so dry here and pollen has been wild. I just need a little moisture in the air so I can breathe easier. 

Then p90x legs and back. I really like this one. I modify some moves depending on how my knees are feeling, but didn’t need to today. In other news, my legs are going to be thrashed tomorrow! 

Note to self: this is why you own a giant foam roller. Try using it once in a while. 

I’m back!

Of sorts. I’ll be keeping this site as a database of sorts, but I’m moving to tumblr. I vastly prefer the format and look of it.
