If you would prefer a visual breakdown of my life running goals, check out this post.
This list isn’t going to be very long, and this is huge for me to sit down and type it out.
- Qualify for Boston at or before the age of 34 (so I’m qualifying with the fastest time required of women)
- Run Badwater
I have to confess, that I might actually want to run Boston after I qualify. This goes against everything I’ve ever said about it. My gut reaction is to hate on stuff that is popular/the *best*/”classic” (inner teen voice). And I hated on Boston totally (the accent alone drives me loony). Until I learned the truth. They put unicorns on their medals. Unicorns! Do you hear me?! U-NI-CORNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (inner 4 year old voice) Therefore, I must have a finishers medal from Boston.*
*I have to earn it. By finishing. And I must actually qualify based on a previous marathon time. I don’t think running for a charity is cheating, but I really need to feel like I earned the unicorn.

Really? They put a unicorn on their medals? Oh, I am all over that!
They do have a unicorn on it! It’s definitely a boy unicorn, though. I will still love him & probably wear it every day until the ribbon disintegrates but maybe they’ll switch from using blue and yellow to purple and sparkles. Just for me?
oh.my.god. i’ve never had more than an a fleeting desire to run a marathon but this may have just changed my mind. i am slightly obsessed with unicorns. ::swoon::
I KNOW, RIGHT? Unicorns! As if I there was a choice once I learned that!
